Create a profile for a chosen Minecraft version and mod loader, then keep its settings, memory options, and content together. OxyRift shows the profiles you actually have — first run does not invent example profiles for you.

OxyRift manages Minecraft Java Edition profiles and compatible mods on your own computer. Every instance stays isolated, imports are copy-only and reversible, and diagnostics run locally. No account is required to use the launcher itself.

What it does
Built for people who keep more than one Minecraft setup.
Each capability below works against files already on your computer. OxyRift does not bundle, host, or redistribute Minecraft itself.
Isolated instances
Mods, configuration, saves, resource packs, logs, and backups stay inside the instance they belong to. Changing one setup does not reach into another, so an experiment cannot quietly break a world you care about.
Mod discovery
Search mods by Minecraft version, loader, and category, review a project before anything is written to disk, and install into the instance you picked. Browsing never installs content on its own.
Safe imports
Bring in instances from other launchers you already use. Imports are copy-only and staged, each file is verified, and a failed batch rolls back. Your original instances are left where they are.
Local diagnostics
Read a crash or log file and get a plain explanation of what the launcher could identify, plus integrity and storage checks. Analysis happens on your computer; nothing is uploaded for inspection.
Performance profiles
Memory suggestions are based on the RAM your machine reports, with safety limits. Deeper tuning stays behind a benchmark step, because OxyRift will not claim a speed-up it has not measured on your hardware.
Discover Mods
Two independent mod sources, clearly labelled.
Mods are not hosted by OxyRift. When you install something, it is downloaded from the source you selected, under that source's own terms, and the launcher records where each file came from.
Modrinth
Available in development builds
Search Modrinth's catalogue by Minecraft version, loader, and category, with project pages and links back to the original listing. Downloads come directly from Modrinth.

CurseForge
Disabled — pending API approval
The CurseForge source is visible in the launcher but switched off. It stays disabled until official API access is granted and configured. OxyRift makes no claim that CurseForge API access is active today, and the feature will not be enabled without it.
CurseForge is operated by Overwolf and is an independent service. OxyRift is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by CurseForge or Overwolf.
How downloads work
OxyRift asks the source you chose for the files you selected, verifies them, and records the origin alongside the installed content. Minecraft itself is never bundled or redistributed — official game files are obtained through authorised means at install time.
Honest status
Where the project actually stands.
OxyRift is in active development and has not had a public release. This page describes work in progress, not a finished product, and several features are deliberately locked until their external requirements are met.
Working in development builds
Local profiles, isolated instances, Modrinth browsing and installs, instance imports, backups, log analysis, and storage and integrity checks.
Disabled until external approval
CurseForge access waits on an official API credential. Microsoft sign-in waits on application registration and Minecraft Services approval. The signed updater waits on a real endpoint and signing key. Each stays off rather than partly working.
Not available yet
There are no public downloads, installers, or release builds, and no timeline is promised. Packaging, signing, and platform testing are still outstanding.
Privacy by construction
Nothing to opt out of.
The launcher
No analytics and no remote telemetry. Profiles, settings, backups, diagnostics, and logs stay on your computer. Network requests happen only for things you ask for, such as fetching official game metadata, searching a mod source, or downloading a file you selected.
This website
Static pages only. No cookies, analytics, trackers, embedded third-party scripts, external fonts, sign-in, payments, or backend services. Nothing you do here is recorded by OxyRift.
