It describes how the project intends to behave during development and has not been written or reviewed by a lawyer. It is not a privacy policy you can rely on, and it will be replaced before any public release. If you need a binding statement today, please ask first — see Contact.
This website
These pages are static files. There are no cookies, analytics, tracking pixels, embedded third-party scripts, externally hosted fonts, sign-in, payments, or backend services. No visitor information is collected, stored, or shared by OxyRift through this site.
If the site is hosted on a third-party platform such as GitHub Pages, that host may keep its own server logs under its own policies. That is the host's processing, outside OxyRift's control, and will be named here once hosting is decided.
The launcher
The launcher is intended to send no analytics and no remote telemetry. The following are intended to stay on your own computer:
- Profiles, instance contents, and launcher settings
- Backups, staged imports, and quarantined files
- Logs, crash reports, diagnostics, and any benchmark captures
Network requests are intended to happen only for actions you ask for, such as fetching official game metadata, searching a mod source, downloading content you selected, or checking an update channel once one exists. Those requests go to the relevant third party and are covered by that party's own privacy policy.
Accounts
Microsoft sign-in is not enabled. If and when it is, it is intended to use the system browser and your operating system's credential storage, and OxyRift does not intend to operate a server that receives your credentials. The details here will be rewritten before that feature ships.
Children
This site is informational and is not directed at children. No age verification is performed because no information is collected.
Changes
This placeholder will be replaced by a reviewed privacy policy before any public release. Until then, treat it as a description of intent.
